Church buildings are sold for other classical activities
The North America-Australia Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. James Joseph Kumi Duodu, delivered an enormously powerful message at the 7th Presbytery Session hosted by the New Jersey District via zoom on May 8, 2021. He noted several milestones chalked in the Presbytery and was grateful to the Presbytery council, districts, and all and sundry. Stressing on Church growth, Rev. Kumi Duodu said, We are in a time that Church decline has been very rampant. Church buildings are sold for other classical activities. He added,
“As Presbytery, we need to be active in church planting and its growth. Embrace the Church Growth Movement with a hunger for the Great Commission, and see individuals come to the knowledge of Christ. Growth is an integral part of our Church. We have put in place all resources and instituted an evangelism task force to build the Church planting network. I am grateful that operation 1.5 has been embraced by all. If you disciple others today, the Church will grow tomorrow.”
The Chairperson called on delegates present to bear in mind that Salvation of a soul stimulates excitement and celebration in Heaven. To him, Soul-winning is a mystical obligation for all faithful children of God. Because the soul is the spirit and essence of a person, God needs it. Papa Kumi Duodu encouraged all Districts, Sub-Districts, Congregations and preaching posts to map their zones with an adequate budget for evangelism. For the full address, please click here.
